Any business owner out there understands that leads are the most fundamental ingrediant of any thriving business
but Whether or not they are the RIGHT people for YOUR business is what is what splits a winner from a loser.
To discover if you are spending your time on a quality lead just check the level of curiosity in what
you offer AND their readiness to invest in themselves and what you have.
The second issue is what determines how targeted your leads genuinely are.
The value of your leads will progress over time like going up steps on a staircase.
Buying leads is like talking to people are hiding in the basement, they are happy down there, they’ve never met you,
plus they are scared of steps!
Too many people in the
business opportunity game are trained to call family
and pay money for leads which suck up your resources like a vacuum!
This WILL mean wasting all your money trying to yank dead weight up the staircase but you pass out!
So sticking with our analogy, targeted leads are already at the top of the steps
when you open the door, there to greet you with a smile. Not to mention they pay
to get through the door!
(That’s for another time.)
Now you understand how good a lead can really be so let’s pay attention to what produces targeted leads and why most lead generation companies don’t take this course.
#1. You have to be specific to get the best leads. It is easier to market to a more general audience, it’s just not more profitable!
Understanding your market takes more time but remember only a few quality leads who are hungry
and ready to buy out performs 1000 “stair haters”!
#2. How a lead is captured is also very important if you want quality. Some lead
companies receive unqualified leads by offering a “prize” unrelated to you or your industry.
Some times they might as well just say “do nothing get everything!”. This kind of marketing just attracts the worst kind of leads.
There are of course lesser evils in the lead generation game. the lead and when they can just fill out a form they tend to be more
shoppers In fact with the over flow of information on the internet by
the time you get back to them they already bought something else!
This is what I was talking about when I mentioned that your leads should have a
willingness to invest in themselves and what you offer.
Targeted leads come from people who volunteer to learn more about YOU because you are the expert. You MUST improve their lives and let them come to you.
With this method only the interested people and quality people are attracted to you.
There is a big reason lead companies don’t do this. Why?…
Most people (like you perhaps) will keep buying leads despite lack of results!
Their objective is to build THEIR business NOT to build your business.
#3. The final option does not happen in lead companies as it is only present if you
produce your own leads. But it is the key to success…
What is it you ask?… to have a system to build a relationship with your prospects outside of
your personal time. This system incorporates #2 by adding value but also allows
them to get to know you and trust you.
These leads are often so hungry they will pay to see what you do!
The best leads are more then willing to invest in the tools to make them successful,
and in this process they grow to respect you as a person who helps them unconditionally.
The approach is the complete opposite of what most people do and that’s the reason these leads don’t feel like you’re just
trying to sell them on something.
Leads, especially business opportunity leads, hate to be sold.
Buying leads positions you as the person who will be “convincing” the prospect and
no one likes that.
Let’s just be clear about something else, generating leads is not the same as buying leads. I will tell you
up front, it takes work. BUT if you are a “doer” in your financial life this is just
different work, not more work.
Just move your efforts towards a system that will give you the results you want.
You want targeted leads? Then Let’s recap,
1.Always go for quality, not quantity. (actually learn how to get both!)
2.You want buyers, not shoppers.
3.Use a system!.
